Ajmer Sharif Dargah

·  "Ajmer Dargah Sharif" is the most famous religious place of Rajasthan, Dargah Sharif is situated in Ajmer, which is the place of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. He was a Sufi saint who dedicated his whole life to the service of the poor and the Dalit. This place is sacred to people of all faiths and millions of pilgrims bring their prayers here every year on Dargah Sharif. Ajmer Sharif Dargah is famous for fulfilling the wishes of the devotees and Pilgrims.

·     After the Mecca and Medina, the dargah of Khwaja Sahib located in Ajmer is very important for Muslims. Here people from all religions come not from the country but also come from outside the country, and come here bring their prayers and offers Blanket Sheet (Chadar), Flowers.

·      The silver gate, this dargah is constructed in several many stages where the original grave of the Saint is made of marble and the railing of the silver is made around it.

·     Urs Festival - In the memory of the great Sufi saint, every year one fills one Urs which lasts for 6 days. The religious significance of the period of 6 days is that people believe that when the age of the saint was 114, they closed themselves in prayer for 6 days and left their mortal body in solitude was there.

Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra

·   Tourists who come to Ajmer should visit to see an Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra. Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra is actually a mosque. This mosque is a wonderful sight of Indian-Muslim architecture; it is believed that it took about two and a half days to build an Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra. It was originally a Sanskrit school which was built inside the temple. The Entry gate is in the north of this mosque.

·    In 1193 AD, this Sanskrit college(school) was converted into a mosque by Mohammad Ghori. This change took only two and a half days, so it is called  Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra. The Kuran verses are written on the wall of this mosque. The artwork in this mosque is mostly found in the mosques of ancient Arabia.

Anna Sagar lake

·    Tourists visiting Ajmer should also go to Ana Sagar lake. Ana Sagar Lake is actually an artificial lake surrounded by hills and mountains. This lake is spread over an area of 12 to 13 km. This Ana Sagar lake was built by “Anaji Chauhan” who was the grandfather of “Prithvi Raj Chauhan”. Tourists visiting here can feel the atmosphere of peace. The best time to visit Ana Sagar lake is after the monsoons because in summer most part of the lake is dried up.

·      On another side, there is a beautiful garden named "Daulat Bagh", this place is really very beautiful. Daulat Bagh was built by Emperor Jahangir. one island is present in the  Ana Sagar Lake, the tourists can come through this boat and motor Boat on this island.

Nasiyan Temple

·      Tourists visiting Ajmer should also go to Nasiyan Temple. Nasiyan Temple is a very famous temple in Ajmer. Nasiyan Mandir(Temple) is a Jain temple which was constructed in 1865. In this two-storey temple, images of Jain mythology and old Jain concepts have been described.

·       One(Hall) of the first floor of the temple is the statue of Jain Tirthankar Lord "Adinath". Also in the second room is a museum, here the work of golden on the wood has been done, carved glass has also been done. This is the reason that this room is also called the City of Gold.

·   This temple is also known as the "Sonji Ki Saiya" because this temple is decorated with very precious stones and moreover precious gold and silver.

Lake Foy Sagar

·    Foy Sagar Lake is an artificial lake which is built near Ajmer. Foy Sagar lake was constructed in the year 1892 by British architect Mr. Foy.

·   This Foy lake was originally constructed with the intention of ending the drought, and it was built as an important source of water. The beauty of the lake makes your visitors mesmerized. The lake is a flat shape that looks like a pancake. The tourists and the local people coming to Ajmer come to this Foy Sagar lake as a picnic spot.

Solah Khamba Masjid

·     Listening to the name of "Solah Khamba", you must have into thinking that what is the sixteen pillar. Sixteen pillars have been made to support a roof over here. It was built during the reign of Aurangzeb. This building is spread over an area of 1348 sq. Ft. This building is also known as Sheikh Alauddin's grave. This grave was constructed by the saint in four years, which was the inspector of the holy place of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. This building or structure is also Known as "Solaha Khamba Masjid(Tomb)".

·  This Mahal has been constructed using white marble. The most striking feature of the architecture is that there are three pointless arches that make a flat roof.

·   Tourists coming to Ajmer do not have to go somewhere to go to see the sixteen pillars because this building has been built in front of “Ajmer Dargah Sharif".

1. By Road: Ajmer city is located on the Golden Quadrilateral at NH-8 between Delhi and Mumbai. By Road, Ajmer is connected to many cities in India. Ajmer is approx 392 Km from Delhi and 135 Km from Jaipur. Many buses run every day from, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Agra, Ratlam, Ahmedabad, Delhi. 3. By Air: Sanganer Airport (Jaipur) is the nearest airport to Ajmer, which is located at approx 132 km from Jaipur. Taxi or Cab can be hired from the airport to reach the Ajmer city. This airport is connected by regular flights from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai.
